We, the undersigned, state that in all honesty and fairness, each member of our group pulled their share for this assignment/presentation. We, therefore, present this assignment in the spirit of each group member having done 50/50 (if two members in a group), 33/33/33 (if three members), 25/25/25/25 (if four members) or 20/20/20/20/20 (if five members) [Circle one]. We understand the importance of each member being active and productive and leaning how to collaborate with colleagues, and how unfair it is when only a few do the work but all get the high marks, and that if we are not honest on this account that our grades will be lowered accordingly.

Note: Collaborative learning seems to have many positive aspects in the facilitating of learning. There are always situations that arise, however, when they are counter productive and actually become a burden for those who actually do the work while others do little or nothing, but all receive the same grade. Let it be known now that I oppose those situations and if your group is having problems, please see me BEFORE the report or presentation is due so that something can be worked out. Otherwise, the "sluggard" could drag your group's grade down with them, or an even worse scenario, you sit back and allow them to be positively reinforced for doing nothing. The above statement will not remedy all problems. It does, however, motivate group members to speak up before it's too late, and 2) it permits me to penalize the entire group for not reporting or correcting their problems in advance, thus showing they have learned to work collaboratively. IF YOU HAVE A SLUGGARD ON YOUR TEAM, PLEASE SEE ME IN ADVANCE SO I CAN INTERVENE TO DETERMINE THE PROBLEM OR TO PULL THEM OFF OF YOUR TEAM.
